While an underdog in this presidential race, Senator Chris Dodd (from my own state of Connecticut) has been a pretty straight shooter in his career. And now he's even trying to stop pending legislation that would absolve telecommunications companies of violating American citizens' privacy rights. Yeah, he voted for the invasion of Iraq but he is one of the very few who publicly apologized for it. Let's face it, a bunch of good people got taken in by those lies and piles of BS.

For a brief article in the Hartford Advocate about both Dodd and Ron Paul got to http://www.hartfordadvocate.com/article.cfm?aid=3741

And for his view on the issues go to his website:

Just a footnote here. The subtitle of the Hartford Advocate article was: "Dodd and Paul keep telling the truth ... and are ignored". Although it's kind of early for a bunch of responses, the low number (zero at this writing) seems to confirm that.

Zap, it's may be just that it's the weekend--I do like a lot about Dodd. Just busy doing the weekend stuff, as probably many are--speaking of which, the dryer's buzzing, so maybe more later.

A hectic week which headed into a hectic weekend, and then returning to work after being out leading to more hecticism here.

I like Dodd very much. If all our politicians were like him we'd be in much better shape. I just think that there are only three candidates at the moment who have the tools...by which I mean money, operatives and press coverage...to get the nomination. That doesn't mean that running for president isn't raising Dodd's profile a bit and that's a good thing.
