Already voted for him in the primary, and hoping to do it again in the fall. On my recent trip, I bought his second book" The Audacity of Hope" at the airport, and managed to get about two thirds through it so far.
Some wonderful insight into the man, his observations, thoughts and frustrations in political life. Reading this has given me some serious hope that this guy is the genuine article, that is to say that his ambitions are for us, and not just for him. I have gotten, so far, a real sense on how he really would like to strive to cut through the bullshit and balance pragmatism with fairness and what is right for the people on social, economic and major issues and challenges in general. I have gotten a sense that he may be able to work better with both major parties than any of the other candidates.I could really go on a bit, but, Read it if you can. I'd also like to thank Continental Airlines for having some short delays that helped me get in some good reading.

I read "Audacity" a couple of months ago.... it affirmed my decision to support Obama in the caucus and hopefully through November.

I just got the reserve notice from my library that his autobiography, "Dreams of My Father" was available for me. I'll be picking that up this afternoon.

Funny how one's taste in reading can change depending on various factors. I was predominantly a reader of fiction (mysteries and suspense novels most recently). But for the last five or six months, it's been political writings of all sorts. If you haven't read it yet, check out John Dean's "Broken Government"

Well, politics have a lot of mystery & suspense. And a bunch of people saying "who done it?" but nobody admittin' to it ..... not even if they get caught! Talk about your career criminals!!

I'm not all the way through Audacity yet, but it helped me make my decision, and I very happily voted for Obama in the primary/caucus last week. I think he says what he believes, not just what he thinks we want to hear (at least, more often than most politicians). And I'm more and more impressed with his demeanor and reactions when 'under fire.'

I hope its Obama, though his health care solution is the same plan of a Billery, which is is a copy of what Mitt did in Massatack by making it illegal not to be covered, even though franchises don't have to provided coverage. Most of the people I talk to here will just pay the fine, and cross their fingers...

Obama understands and respects the Constitution and that’s refreshing. Let’s just hope that he can continue to raise the level of discourse beyond Cloakroom style, pork barrel politics. I think he understands that there must be more to a democracy than two wolves and a sheep voting on what to eat for dinner.
