I don't know about most of you folks out there but I have about had it with the ever increaseing gas prices! I know the truckers are starting to speak out about deisel prices but I truely can't understand why more people aren't speaking out? You would think that the media would be all over this issue. Of course msot of the media companies are more than likely owned by the oil companies. So I am going to do something that I have never done before and write my congressman. I am hopeing that more people do the same. So maybe it wont do anything but at least it may be worth the try. I hope that many of you out their will break out your pens and let your congressman or congresswomen know that you want something done about the increasing gas prices at the pump!

We were told by our congressman that the best way to write to your congressman is by postcard. Just say what you're for or against without elaboration. They don't take the time to read long letters and don't put a lot of stock in petitions- people will sign anything if a friend asks. A postcard gives them the numbers which is all they care about.

There is so much dirty politics going on in NJ, gas prices are only part of it. The prices jumped 8 cents one day, then 2 days later they jumped 12 cents. The taxes are jumping because we lost so much state aid, we live in a rural area and now my land isn't worth what I paid for it because of the highlands bill.

I saw $4.+ per gallon gas for the first time last week. Although you know it's out there it was still startling.
