Global warming/climate change may be even worse than we think. Last night on PBS, Nova covered Global Dimming. It appears that air pollution and even airplane contrails actually reflect sunlight back out into space. There was a marked and measurable increase in global temperature in the three days of no US plane flights after 911.

Carbon emissions have to be reduced to slow global warming but, at the same time, some air pollutants that reflect the sunlight are slowing it down. They've got to be reduced as well as they're actually causing the climate to change by changing wind currents and weather patterns. But reduce them too fast and global warming accelerates at an alarming rate. One scientist on the program gives us less than ten years until the point of no return. We've really screwed things up.

Yes, I seen that program last night. I thought it was quite good.

I was on the wall for a long time on climate change. However, in the last couple of years the the data makes is difficult to ignore.

In the coming decade we could get into a lot of trouble climate wise.

I don't know that is is entirely our fault.
However, we are certainly affecting the natural cycles and the rate we change the atmospheric environment certainly doesn't help either.

Like the old Bob Dylan song, "The Times They Are A Changing".
