I loved the guthrie family show on Mountain Stage. After the Woodie songs about "stickin to the union" and the union "auxiliaries" there came a jarring Arlo comment about it taking six brothers to carry his guitar into the venue. Anyone who thinks America today suffers from overpaid working people is completely out of touch with reality. No industry more unfairly shares the wealth than the entertainment "business". Woodie is up there with Joe Hill singing "organize! organize!". Which side are you on?

That's why I don't go to (and/or cant afford) many concerts anymore. I saw Emerson, Lake & Palmer in the early 70s at The Bushnell in Hartford, CT. I had an orchestra seat and paid under ten bucks, if I recall (I'm thinking it was $6.50 or so). Wish my income increased at the same rate as ticket prices have!

That's also why the main paid concert act we go to see is Arlo. If we see anyone else usually it's cheap or free unless it is someone like one of the Monkees...

I would take Arlo's comment as an observation, not a judgement. Of course people hear what that want to or expect to hear.His observation is open to your judgement.
MY take is that Arlo does support the concept of unions, but MAY also notice that sometimes things are a bit overdone in terms of rules on who can carry what and who flips the light switch on.
