The VP is coming. Didn't realize it. He's coming out of his secure and undisclosed location to do a fundraiser for fireworks mogul Felix Grucci, who is also a local Republican pol. We became aware of it when we saw all the police activity at the airport here. They do the VIP stuff directly across the road from my office. There are bomb sniffing dogs, cop cars, motorcycles, cop SUVs and even a cop tow truck. I don't get that one....There's an ambulance and limos.

I don't know if you've been invited, but the fundraiser is only $250 a head, but if you want a picture with a Dick that'll cost you a grand. I'm going to see A440 so I don't think I can make it...

Aw, thanks, RB. The band's doing well. They have finished their first studio CD, but it won't be officially released until their release party on June 7th. Hey, if any Blunderites feel like making it to Rockville Centre for that one, I'll see that you're on the guest list if you let me know. Not that it's that big a savings. They're still at the point where if the cover is ten bucks..that's a huge gig. Mostly between five and seven. They just got back from a music conference in Boston. Their entrance into it was paid by the magazine that sponsored the band contest they were in last year. It was a success and they've got interest from at least one indie label which they're considering. They have another conference in Las Vegas next month and the gigs are getting better. Not that they're getting paid better. As they get into the better places and on the better bills it's kind of starting again each time they move up a level, but they're heading in the right direction and are pretty satisfied with the way things are going. I'll remember to post when the CD is available. Larry keeps a close eye on them, too. He's a legend, you know.
