Do you know who wrote this song? Lyrics don't seem to jump & dance like they used to!?

Oh I know that it's getting late
But I don't wannna to go home
I'm in no hurry baby time can wait
Cause I don't want to go home
Listen to the man sing his song
But I don't want to go home
I don't mind if it take all night long
Cause I don't wanna go home

I know we had to try to reach up
And touch the sky, baby
Whatever happened to you & I
That I don't wanna go home

Lord look at how the people stare
Said I don't wanna go home
In thier minds I know they've all been there
I don't wanna go home
I know the words to the song
I'll be, but I don't wanna go home
NO use talkin bout the way I feel
Yet, I don't wanna go home

Listen baby, I know we had to try
Two (to) reach up and touch the sky
Whatever happened to you & I
That I don't wanna go home

I wanna hear people laughin & havin a good time!!!
I want to know, why she told me she had to go
Why did she leave me so, o
I know that it's time to go, but I don't wanna go home
You can play your blues soft & low, But I don't wanna go home

Aint nobody waitin at home.....
In thier minds I know they've all been there.
Aint nobody waitin, aint nobody waitin at home...

well... some songs were meant for Southside to sing... but I just saw the Boss at the Garden monday night, and he's still the real thing! I've been humming The Rising since then... (and some of My City of Ruin, which he actually wrote for Asbury Park, NOT NYC as some folks are thinkin'...)

Also saw Santana this past weekend, also a great show! Carlos is a very spiritual person, very much like some long-haired folksinger we know... I bet they'd enjoy each other's company, and a fusion of their music would be quite different I bet!

Arnie you make a valid point. I've had this arguement with Fitzy before...(Except she really put me in my place...)

*But as much as he (Johnny) hates all the old interviews, he still suggest he was making Bruce Springsteen hits, before the major population even knew who the Boss was!!!

**I've never seen Springsteen live, so that might have somethin to do with it! I was surprized that Southside is touring as much as he is. Still as diverse as ever....In fact I think in the Fall he's in Amsterdam. OF course he's playin in Jersey before going abroad...

if you ever get the chance, see the boss in concert! This last show was quite the experience... the audience took over at times, with bruce the leader of the orchestra... and the choice of music was clearly intended to convey his feelings and attitudes... less talk, much more music!

me, I'm just sittin' here hummin' Waitin' on a Sunny Day

I think it's hubris... did the Byrds claim to make Dylan a star?
