... it sure would be nice if the Republican President, with his Republican Legislature find the wisdom to act in the TRUE best interest of our country.

I am praying for our nation.

Dave,

Congratulations! And please don't forget the women. We'd really appreciate a choice of fabrics for our burkas.

Still friends, I hope--really!

Ceas

Ah yes, it doesn't get any better than this. (assuming you like war, pollution and having your civil liberties trampled on)

I will admit that the elections seemed fair and if the majority voted for these Senators and Representives, then so be it, I will accept the new goverment as it stands, I would like for the news to just once say my vote counted for something but that is for another topic.

President Bush, I hope you, the house, the senate, the courts and even your brother in the south, all do a great job.

Congrats to Dave! Mike & I didn't get to vote Tues cuz we were tied up all day in the drs office & getting our medicines after that. Thanks to us going to the drs office the Republicans lost 2 votes. So it wasn't my fault that the Republicans won LOL! A friend did give me some voting advice the other day. She said if you didn't know who to vote for to just pick a Republican & you'd do okay LOL!

It's a good thing I like you Dave, otherwise I wouldn't!
Are you better off than you were just a few years ago?
Is it a good thing to go from a budget surplus for the first time in forever, and go back to building a huge deficit?
Are you ready to start a war on the other side of the world by firing the first shot, and that will hurt our credibilty with our allies?
Are you ready to start a war based on the ideas of someone with the intellect of George W. Bush?
Are you ready to start a war with someone who is not a DIRECT threat to the USA, before HE fires the first shot?
If we can shoot first based on a percieved threat, why can't other nations?
Do you hope to be able to collect social security someday?

A few months after the presidential appointment, Discover magazine ran an article about methods of voting. They 'splained the math to dummies like me and gave examples of other countries' vote-counting systems that work much better and more fairly than ours; also some systems that are used by organizations and some that haven't been used but could be. I'll try to dig the article out, if I still have it.

give up larry... dave started drooling uncontrolably once you started talking about war and bumblefucks (go figure!)

congrats to dave, it's a nice feeling to back a winner, even if the winner is scum of the earth...

personally, I think it was all due to mass confusion by the public... they almost always vote in the opposing party to congress to tie up the president... in this case, the public still thought gore should be president, and thus they voted in the repuglicans... a simple twist of fate!

and just have faith dave, just as you waited all this time, for the next two years the mantra stays the same:
This too shall change!

If the people of Iraq are have as worried as we are, then the war is over folks.

relax, we made it past the election of 1860 when the first Republican was elected and we will get past this little bump to.

Having the Senate and the House and the Oval Office, the Republicans will have no excuse for any problems that the goverment has over the next four years, and they even have this great little war on terror to spend and tax on so what could go wrong?

Cheryl, I'm glad you and Mike were able to get your meds on Election Day. Keep in mind, however, that there are lots of elderly people in this country who have to CHOOSE between medicine and food every day thanks to the scumbag giant drug companies in this country like Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Schering-Plough, etc. Bet you'll find nary a Democrat on their boards.

In the immortal words of Marie Antionette, "Let them eat cake!".

In the immortal words of Ronald Rayguns" Catsup is a vegetable"

Free government surplus imitation cheese product for everyone!

Thanks to George H. Bush for lowering the bar by choosing Dan Quayle so that someday when it was time for George W. to run, he(George W.) didn't look quite as stupid. Trouble is, I think Dan might actually be smarter.....or at least better at spelling.

The Deficit clock runs on once again on Times Square! Don't ya just love nostalgia?

Given time, the repuglicans can turn this country back into what it once was........an arctic wasteland covered in ice.

It's time for small minded cowards in every part of our country to hurl missles and bombs from the safety of our living rooms while watching it on tv, at people on the other side of the planet because they are bad and someday they might try to do something to us.
After they do something to us, THEN fry their asses!
As the worlds only remaining "superpower",unilateral arrogance, or even the appearance of such, will bring us down as sure as if we were the ancient Roman Empire, given enough time.
