and I'm reading up... one thing that scares me is that since this movement is to remove Bush, Cheney, Runsfeld and Ashcroft, who assumes the Presidency? I'm learning how this works... I haven't signed YET... but I'm considering it...

Just learned that the next in line after Cheney is the Speaker of the House. It does not bode well that this is his comment about Iraq:

“Secretary Powell made a powerful case today at the United Nations regarding Saddam Hussein’s corrupt Iraqi regime.

“Using documentary evidence gathered from a variety of sources, Secretary Powell systematically unveiled the true nature of the Hussein regime, how it harbors weapons of mass destruction, how it supports terrorist organizations (including Al Qaeda), how it has used chemical and biological weapons against its citizens and its neighbors in the past, and how it continues to subvert United Nations resolutions to this very day.

“Saddam Hussein has been playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the United Nations for over a decade now. But the time for games is coming to an end.

“Secretary Powell’s presentation proved that we must take effective action to disarm the Hussein regime and we must do it soon.

“Some say that they want to see a smoking gun when it comes to the evidence of Iraqi subversion. I disagree. A smoking gun means lost American lives. Silly Wyldflower, how can you impeach someone who never got elelected?

The whole administration is getting scarier by the day, and not only because of the war. Impeaching him won't do much good and I don't think it's going to happen. Public opinion is the only thing that's going to slow this train down and I'm not sure they'll allow that. I'm not given to paranoia..or at least I don't think I am. (If you're paranoid, do you know you're paranoid? Maybe not..) But anyway, I'm really beginning to wonder if they'll permit dissent if they feel it's really hurting them. I've gotten to the point where I wouldn't put anything..and I mean anything..past them, and it doesn't feel too good that most of the mainstream media is owned by a couple of major corporations, and the non-mainstream media is mostly too partisan to take seriously in a crunch. Tons of information, but what does any of it really mean?

With a Republican-controlled congress, it would be at best a symbolic gesture. They'd never vote to impeach, much less follow through and remove them from office. And I think Pat's right, it's public opinion that will have to turn, and I'm afraid it will, but too late, as always...

If only public votes, walked in a Prez. It's the 'electoral' votes that count? (don't mind my ignorant claims to know or understand anything pertaining to politics).

Does my vote count. It's the most popular thing I do every 4 yrs. But the popular vote doe's or doesn't count?

It's interesting that votetoimpeach.org isn't owned by anyone and is available.

HMMMMMMMMMM... now that IS interesting! It never occurred to me to check the ownership of that website. Wonder who could want to be collecting information about this, without having to have a registered website???

Just got some updated info... the domain votetoimpeach.org IS owned... by International A.N.S.W.E.R. ... the "VOTE NO WAR" people... www.internationalanswer.org
