To see SO many familiar faces in this movie is a rush. I don't really believe I've ever seen better acting in ages either. This one gets a solid 10. A movie I wouldn't mind owning.

*Interesting footnote, the directors next film was 'Bob, Ted, Carol & Alice...(taboo for a 12 yr. old)lol

I remember as a teen not being allowed as it was an R movie or something...A Clockwork Orange was rated X in it's day. We had no problem getting into that!?

**So if ya know any 60's hip flicks, please post them here. Chances are I saw them. (many at the Theater). But in those days, that's where you saw a flick. Lonely rainy days make watching a movie at home, a tad better...<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/wink.gif" width=15 height=15>

I saw Bob, Ted, Carlo & Alice on tv yrs ago in the 70's. Some other hip movies would be ALICES RESTUARANT, EASY RIDER, WOODSTOCK, ALICE B TOKLAS, HAIR...

Not all 60s, but sorta in the same period ... Midnight Cowboy, Billy Jack, Harold and Maude, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Remember seeing Reefer Madness at the theater when I was 18 or 19 ... very fun--lot's of smoke and frisbies, etc. Was the Rocky Horror Picture Show of our day.

Remember ABOUT a movie--just can't remember the name. Was a controversial movie about the first sex change operation ... absolutely don't remember the name now. Senior moment, I guess.

How about BLOW UP ? Anybody see that one ?

Yeah, I saw Blow-up. I remember it was ground-breaking and cutting edge, too..it's just too long ago for me to remember why. I also don't remember much about Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice, except the title. Has anyone noticed how many movies had an Alice in them around then. There were more Alice's in movie titles than I ever actually me. Alice's Restaurant, Alice B. Toklas, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, Bob and Carol, etc. and I guess it was later but Go Ask Alice was certainly inspired by the song of the era..coincidence..or sinister plot?

Idaho Transfer. Right, Cliffite? I think we are the only two people on the planet who saw that movie. We've never met anyone else who even heard of it, but I SWEAR we saw it in the theater. Early 1970s. Peter Fonda.

My two favorites from the 60's are ALICES RESTAURANT and DON'T LOOK BACK. I still watch both of them every now and then.

Rb, the first time I saw A Clockwork Orange, I thought I was sitting in a cloud and the movie made no sense until the very end when it came full circle. At that moment I realized the genius of Kubrick. lol That was an odd evening. But it is an incredible movie.

As far as other movie's from then, Help, A Hard Day's Night, Yellow Sub. Okay, so besides Arlo and Beatles movies, I'm more for the Doris Day/Rock Hudson kinda films. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

**Percy Martin is one of my ALL time favorite western actors. I saw him in two films today.....Shenendoah (Jimmy Stewart & cast) conductor on train...And his lil part in Butch Cassidy. Man that man can really act! Probley the most famous line of his in a flick?

Remember all those Hell's Angels movies? And on another note, we caught The Trip a few months ago. That was done by someone who had really done the research, I think.

*Ya, that might be the worst part of 'Easy Rider' is when they drop the ACID. Not too many special effects going on there. For any non-dinasaura's 'Trippin Glasses' were a 70's left over from the 60's style of spectacles, that had 'the fly' effect. The lences were cut glass, if I remember they were diamond shaped.

It was the usual suspects, RB. A Roger Corman movie with Peter Fonda, Bruce Dern..don't recall who else but there were some other familiar faces.
