Ralph Nader today announced that he is considering another run for the presidency.

Although I do see his point - that the Dems, for the most part, don't provide a clear alternative to Bush - I feel that at this point, having a third-party candidate will only muddy the already murky waters. Nader is not assured of having a Green Party endorsement, and is considering a run as an independent.

Regardless of whether he is Green-endorsed, he doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of being elected. The issues he stands for are valid. I can only hope that he determines that he would not be a viable candidate and does not throw his hat in. Perhaps, though, he will shake up the Dems enough to get them thinking about getting their acts together behind one candidate...

All I can say is, as much as I love Ralph, Pat was right. I'll be holding my nose next year, and voting Dem party line. I am SO F*CKING SICK of Republican rule.

I don't care for Dean or Clark much though. I'm still hoping for Gephardt or Kerry.

I'm all for third party inclusion, but Ralph did give us dubya. Don't do it Ralph!

The more I read about Dennis, the more I like him--I know he won't stand a chance, but at least he's got people talking about things that need to be talked about--if only the Media would cover him!!

I'll take any one of them. I do like Kerry, and in some ways it seems like he should be the best candidate, but his campaign sure isn't doing much right now. Gephardt..no eyebrows. I don't think you can be president without eyebrows. Carol Mosely Braun is my personal favorite, but of course, that's not happening either. Whoever it is, it's gotta be better than Bush. I'm very concerned that Dean is going to be the candidate and either A - can't win, or B - wins and isn't enough of an alternative. He certainly doesn't see to be all that liberal, despite the press coverage that says he is. However, I sure will support him if he gets the nomination.
