Today, let us pause to remember those who gave their all in service to our nation. Regardless of how we feel about the present conflicts, the men and women in our military deserve our respect. Thank you to all serving in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, and National Guard. And I'd like to add to these the people serving in humanitarian organizations, such as the Peace Corps and the Red Cross, as well as those who simply live their lives in service.

And those who have given their lives, we shall not forget you.

I'm anxious to get back up to D.C. to see the new WW II Memorial ... it looks impressive on television.

We mustn't forget. Including the four today.

The memorial does look impressive. Wyld and I have only seen it from the street, before it opened. I want to go back and see it with Jay; our dads will know we did. They would have been there today, I'm thinking.

Funny thing; the hippies on this street are the only ones with a flag flying in front of their house today.
