I read in the local paper that this was a false rumor & he won't be doing any shows for either party...

This morning's paper had some stuff about Broooose, & I'm here to take back what I said in my last post. Apparently he's been the quite the critic of this administration, but for whatever reason he won't do this concert.

Besides, I wouldn't wish watching Dennis Miller on my worst enemy.

Yes, I had also read that Bruce has not agreed to support either party... and I was aware that he has spoken out against the current administration.

The idea behind the petition, though, is to convince Bruce to do a show, not necessarily in support of the Dems, but as a forum to speak out about the current state of government in this country, and to motivate people to vote their own conscience. It's along the lines of "Rock the Vote"

The promotor has reserved Giants Stadium for Sept 1, and from what I understand, several other musicians have been approached, and many of these have expressed an interest in doing this. If Bruce could be convinced to headline the event, it could be a major factor in making people aware that their individual vote does count...
