A story about this web cartoon made the front page of this morning's local paper. I just tried to look at it, sat here watching 5 minutes of advertising, & said the hell with it.

Were they popup ads? I never get popups anymore since I installed the Google Toolbar which allows me to block popups.

There's a pop-up or 2, but the site also shows you some ads while you wait for the cartoon to load. I know I don't have the fastest or most modern computer, but it was too much for me.

Gotta change browsers, Joe. Even pretty mainstream sources are recommending it, what with all of IE's security flaws. I use Firefox and never saw a single pop-up on that site. Or almost any other site, either.

I appreciate the advice, Pat, but I wouldn't know my browser if it came up & smacked me in the face & said, "Hi, I'm your browser," let alone how to change it.

I'll probably hafta check out the site when I go to work on Mon.
