Thought I'd get this out while I still have power. Jeanne is hammering the east coast not far from Arlo's digs and the ashram, finishing the job that Frances started. Really not fair for those people who have suffered enough.

Will probably stay up as long as the lights stay on; storm should pass south of here around 8:00 tomorrow morning.

If I don't post on Sunday, it's probably because we've got no power. Please send blundervibes and prayers for Florida. I guess all this is to punish us for the 2000 election.

Mikey, Blundervibes to you and the horses and everyone. I hope Jeanne has weakened now that it's over land. Stay safe!

Sunday morning update:

Surprised to wake up to power. Looks like the storm is going to exit around Tampa (payback for them being missed by Charlie - remember Charlie?). Our county will miss the brunt of it, but I can't imagine how those people around Sebastian and Vero Beach are coping with this after just starting to come back after Frances.

Arlo and his people will probably need lots of help over the next few weeks and months, so we all might have to send more than just Blundervibes and prayers.

Glad to hear you're all right, mikey. And I guess that means my in-laws came through OK again. Keeping good thoughts for all who were in the path, including Arlo's place and my daughter's in-laws.

This is really enough now.

Glad you're okay. Hope the folks in Arlo's part of Fla are okay too. Prayers & vibes... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/peace.gif" width=16 height=16>

Just got power and phone lines restored here after 48 hours without, and this was only a glancing blow to Ocala with 50-60 mph winds. I understand that Sebastian was hit very hard again with a full-force impact. Annie has posted on the main forum about the damage there. Can't imagine the resources it will take to recover on the S. Central coast. Let us know what we can do, Annie.
