George W. went to Iraq for Thanksgiving.
He did not of course intend to go there.
He figured it was Thanksgiving, and that would be a good day to visit Turkey, but they let him drive the plane, so they ended up in Iraq by mistake.

...lol, Larry.....

.... well, if it helped some soldiers feel better and cut down the suicide rate.....maybe it was a good thang....

...but i kept thinkin of the song from "Chicago"....

''Razzle dazzle 'em
Give 'em a show that's so splendiferous

Row after row will crow vociferous

Give 'em the old flim flam flummox
Fool and fracture 'em

How can they hear the truth above the roar?

Throw 'em a fake and a finagle
They'll never know you're just a bagel,

Razzle dazzle 'em
And they'll beg you for more!
Give 'em the old razzle dazzle
Razzle Dazzle 'em
Back since the days of old Methuselah
Everyone loves the big bambooz-a-ler
Give 'em the old three ring circus
Stun and stagger 'em
When you're in trouble, go into your dance
Though you are stiffer than a girder
They let you get away with murder
Razzle dazzle 'em
And you've got a romance''

I doubt any soldiers knew he was there, except the ones hand-picked to be shown as happy campers.

<FONT COLOR="blue">"Governments can err, Presidents do make mistakes, but the immortal Dante tells us that divine justice weighs the sins of the cold-blooded and the sins of the warm-hearted in different scales. Better the occasional faults of a Government that lives in a spirit of charity than the constant omission of a Government frozen in the ice of its own indifference." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

Go to www.google.com, type in “miserable failure” and hit the ‘I’m feeling lucky’ button.

Will wonders never cease? Bush actually told the truth today at a signing in the Oval Office:

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we," Bush said. "They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

I'm not sure Scott McClellan cleared anything up with his explanation:

"[T]he American people know this president speaks with clarity and conviction, and the terroritsts know by its actions he means it."

Great site (unless you're Cheryl): seeyageorge.com --and from Texas, no less! (Austin, of course.) Some of the best bumper stickers, buttons, magnets, t's, etc., that I've seen, useful links, and a comprehensive list of Bushisms.
