I dunno how many of you know this, but Star worked EXTREMELY HARD as a volunteer for the Kerry campaign. We all discussed changing this country, but she did more than her fair share to try to make it happen. Those efforts weren't wasted; we hope that 55 million Kerry voters won't be ignored.

Let's use this thread to express our gratitude.

Wow... it's people like Star, who go about doing the work quietly, without looking for recognition, who really make things happen! Thank you Star for all your hard work.

We, the smart 48% are already being ignored!
The Bush people are trying to spin this election into a major mandate for Bushie's agenda.

Not that hard, and obviously, I wish I'd worked harder (and dragged in a few more people.)

Hey, but Illinois isn't part of Jesusland.

Sorry, I'm not believing that....I recall your volunteer work for the aquarium & your efforts to promote David LaMotte's music, for example, & I know that once you decide to do something, you're never an innocent bystander.

I'm back at the aquarium!! By the time it gets to be lunch time, my back is doing numbers on me... and the walk from the bus stop back to the train station is interminable. Hopefully in a couple of weeks or so, that won't seem quite as bad.

But the 80+ year old Australian lungfish always looks happy to see me. Hell, at that age, he's happy to see anyone.

Thanks for your hard work Star, Heck all I did was send an Absentee vote from OZ to Oregon. Depending on my circumstances mabey I can get over there in '08 and try to get some of those states east of Oregon to WAKE UP AND SMELL THE HORSE MANURE!!

Blue states and red states? Smart states and red states? Could it be Blue states and grey states next? Could Bush be the Anti- Lincoln?

Larry, you may have hit on something here. All the slave states and Missouri Compromise states went for Bush big-time. Maybe we're not that far from a second Civil War in this country after all. The tip-off will be if the GOP introduces the Bush Compromise bill stating that all voters in blue states will be entitled to only 3/5 of a vote from now on.
