oh, I believe I believe it was just a bunch of immature American soldiers with no encouragement, Hello, Humans are (no matter what we wish to believe) malleable beings and these peple were doing what they thought was expected of them. Hell, I am a dumb old Okie and I can see that! Where is the outcry, where is the rage? Is this not a sickness?

maybe its just me? but I heard on NPR this guy talking about the atavistic rape of millions of German women by the Russions in the last months of WW2. Atavistic rape? It wasn't sexual gratification but the complete humilation of the German race. There was a description of teenage sisters being gang raped followed by their mother taking them up on top of a building and coercing them to jump to their deaths as they were defiled and of no value to the human race.

I think that was the purpose of these prison abuse scandals. Marching in with moralistic pomp and condoning such acts and killing thousands to boot. I am sure the Iraqis won't eat black eyed peas to commemorate their humiliation but they will find some commerative device. I believe GW has created no end to the source of young wide eyed terrorists after this type of action and I don't understand why his moralistic supporters think these actions are justified. I am just confused and bewildered and venting my frustraion.

...i don't now, PS...i've been asking myself for a few years now where all the outrage went....

THey have this poor confused obviously immature kid in Texas in a military court with a ranking military judge leaning over the bench pronouncing in front of the great media show that if she indicates in any way that she is not guilty (meaning that these actions where considered to be within the scope of what she construed as her orders) that he will not be allowed to accept her plea and she will eventually be sentenced to the full measure of the punishment if found guilty. Meantime, a world away over in Cuba, another young female pfc is splashing menstrual blood like substance on the face of another detainee. I quote alot of song lyrics at this place called the Group W Bench so I feel inspired to do so again

"I am proud to be an American, Where at least I know I'm free"

Last night I dreamed that God was this great Shaman and his recent actions (Tsunami's and Sudanese genocide and iraqi war and terrorist bombs and instant apocalypse everywhere you go) are like his latest attempts at fooling the human race into think they are healthy as an entity, that he is excorsizing and purging us of our demons, drawing nasty smoke and dirty frogs out of the great human corpus and dissipating our innate evil to the universe as the conservative faithfull wip themselves up into a sacremental frenzy carrying the great purges in Gods name to the secular humanists and gays and whoever else they feel must be removed as part of their great soul cleansing crusade. THen my dream changed to a man inspecting the roof of a house (bizarre I know). I was standing on an adjacent roof with Linda and we were watching as he inspected the shingles, mucked with some loose bricks on a chimney, started kicking the exhaust pipe from the furnace. His pace was frenzied and I mentioned it to Linda and pointed him out as he was kicking that pipe with unrestrained zeal and vigor as if he was on the verge of discovering some great defect in the house and had to persist at the task beyond all reason. He finally gave up and in haste jumped to a lower level of the roof. He lost his footing slid off the roof and fell to the ground (looked to be 25 to 30 feet). As he was falling to the ground I handed Linda my cell phone and said dial 911 and ran to the spot where he landed. He lay there prostrate on the ground, unable to move and I could hear him sounding the word help through his lips as he looked at me with big sad eyes, totally helpless, incapable of any movement (he didn't even blink his eyes) where only moments before he had been a madman acting boldly in a frenzy of some crazed ordained purpose. I woke up and those big huge sad helpless eyes persisted in my minds eye.

One thing that I heard on NPR last night that I hadn't heard on the big TV networks was that the "detainees" were also forced to commit sex acts on themselves and/or other "detainees". Meanwhile, back here, I can't even find a peace symbol sticker at an old area hippie/head shop (plenty of flag & god bless America stickers, though). Everybody's too busy downloading their Ipods or yakkin' on their cell phones or whatever people do now to give a flyin' crap about anything or anyone but "Number One", I guess. "And the band played on!" Sometimes this ol' world sickens and saddens me.

If she is innocent, who is guilty,
Who was in charge? Are all the Officers,
Unaware? Can the Congressional majority leaders remove a Military Judge? ???????didn't they want a clean guilty plea, or am I dreaming??????The whole world is off kilter!!
