According to an article in National Geographic News, a new way of extracting writings from ancient papyrus paper has led to a ...er...revelation that the actual "Number of The Beast" was 616, not 666 as previously believed! Hmmm...maybe Hell got so over crowded with lawyers, politicians, & corporate executives that they had to add a new area code?

Larry, I think it's that Pam USED to live in Texas, and the Shrub also USED to live in Texas, and 616 just follows you around if you leave Texas, just in case you might be the Shrub in disguise, 'cause that definitely is his number, now that we know it isn't 666.

There's a route 666 in New Mexico, runs N-S from 4-corners area down to Gallup. Know some folks who have never driven it because of the number. I did, no choice, several times. Nice road, not too crowded <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Wonder if they'll feel compelled to rename it?
