Jesus Cheryl, I don't think you have to worry about a liberal being appointed. Were you joking or what? You can count on your boy to deliver another from the zombie brigade.

I sincerely doubt it... Jesus was one who fed the hungry and healed the infirm....

Hope I didn't upset anyone with my comment that I hoped no one too liberal got in there. Just hope we get the right guy in there without too much arguing on both sides... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/peace.gif" width=16 height=16>

Not bloody likely! Had a few issues that would definitely be going against him these days. To quote singer/songwriter Hugh Blumenfeld:

"Well Jesus was a homeless lad
With an unwed mother and an absent dad
And I really don't think he would have gotten that far
If Newt, Pat and Jesse had followed that star

So let's all sing out praises to
That long-haired radical socialist Jew"

That's okay, Cheryl, most of us are fully aware that the right "guy" will not be chosen. It's just that we're concerned about how many lives will be ruined and lost, depending on who it is.

Cheryl, you didn't say anything wrong. I agree that a Supreme Court justice shouldn't be too liberal. Nor do I think that (s)he should be too conservative. My views are generally liberal, but I don't agree with liberals 100% on everything; I don't think anybody does. The country has enough extremists on both sides of every debate, telling us that if you're not with them, you're against them. What the country needs is sensible people.

This is all academic, of course, coz the appointee most assuredly be one who is too conservative.
