The recently released Martin Scorsese documentary on Bob Dylan, "No Direction Home", will be broadcast in the USA on many PBS stations in two parts on Monday (9/26/05) & Tuesday (9/27/05). Check your local listings. It's also out on DVD.

It's showing here on BBC 2 on Monday at 9:00pm, I'll probably have to tape it an watch it later as Javan and Arlo wont have properly gone to bed then.

Forgot to watch. It's OK, though. It'll make a nice gift for Bob if he doesn't go ahead and get it before his birthday.

We saw this & it was good. Woody & Pete were in it too but no Arlo so far. Mike even kept coming in the den from watching his ball game in the living room to see this. It's a rare show that has him hopping up from Monday Night Football...

Wednesday and Thursday this week, at 9pm on PBS there are some other very interesting folky type programs. The one on Weds had Pete Seeger's photo in the promotion, and Thursdays was something about a view of a generation...Sounded interesting. Im sure someone out there can elaborate. Im just sayin...

Hey PS. You reminded me of that song I wrote in '69 when I was 15. At the time I thought if Arlo could write that dumb pickle song (and as he says when he plays it these days he is amazed at it's longevity)I could write my own Cycle song. Dlyan is in it! Also Arlo and Capt America and Billy.Maybe I should put it out there and it will, like the significance of the Pickle, get studied in Colleges one day!

but I mean really, those interviews, what was Bob supposed to say, it is amazing to me that he kept the composure he did!!!am I wrong, i mean, I was cracking up at the questions alone, what were these people thinking???? What's the significance of the motorcycle on your t shirt? and then he answers honestly, " i really hadn't thought about it". classic moment, and the interviewer doesn't stop "well I have, alot" you know, at least Bob didn't say getta life.
