Yesterday at the used record store, I found a vinyl treasure that I've been looking for for at least 20 years---Johnny Cash's Everybody Loves a Nut album. On this one, Cash perfoms the Ramblin' Jack Elliott composition, "A Cup of Coffee," the first appearance of this song on any album, long before it ever even appeared on one of Jack's albums.

Altho' he is not credited anywhere on the liner notes, Jack appears on the track playing guitar, yodeling, & providing the sound effects for the cat & the truck. This was really a great find.

I've found over the years that, as a rule, the Johnny Cash albums that were out of print deserved to be so, but this album ain't bad at all. It was a bit scratched & needed a good cleaning, but sounds good enough.

When I saw it there, I yelled, "YEAH!" & the other person who was perusing the country section glanced at me & went about his business, probably thinking I was a lunatic.

Don't know where else I'm going with this thread or this post, but some of you know I enjoy collecting vinyl & hunting for certain records, no matter how difficult, & I just had to say that I finally found this one.
