Some might think of the jazz styles as a folk music, at least originally.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you all. You might find it interesting. For those of us who play bass(and others too perhaps), Milt is known as one of the grandaddys of modern pop(30' and 40's) bassplaying. One of the old-timers, he was a contemporary of Woodys, and worked mostly in the jazz idioms. I vaguely remember hearing or reading somewhere about his photography, but don't know much about it.
