Just heard thru the Blundervine that Sarah Lee and Johnny are heading downunder next March. Unfortunately they are not coming to my part of the country (it's a BIG country) so don't know if I'll get to see them. But I see they will be preforming at The Basement in Sydney. Our version of your PBS (ABC here) has a show "Live at The Basement" (Saw Janis Ian on there recently) So hopefully they will do a show on Sara Lee and Johnny and I can watch them on TV.

And The Mammals are coming to The Woodford Folk Festival, in a few weeks. Got no excuse there as it is only 15 minutes drive from my place!!!

Hey adg, hope you can make it to Woodford one day! You'll feel right at home!!!!

I'm a festival goer as well. I will definitely be there for this. I also live in Sydney so no doubt I will go to the basement to see them. I saw Janis when she was here, it was a really great set.

Also on the woodford line-up is Peggy Seeger, thats something I'm looking foward to.

I agree with you on ADG coming to woodford. It would be so nice to see more folkies coming over our way. We have plenty of good performers here but it would still be nice to see more international acts.

Meanwhile he can practice doing Tie Me Kangaroo Down. I bet he would do great on that one! :)

If you listen to "Live in Sydney", you will know that Arlo set up Sarah Lee for a whole bunch of requests for "Alice's Restaurant" when she gets to Oz. As Arlo said......"That poor kid"! :D

And Louise, why don't you just use the same Oz transit system that Dorothy Gale did.......just put on your ruby slippers, click your heels together three times, and think of where you need to go!

Guess where I'll be at about 1P.M. on the 27th Dec (Eastern Standard Vegemite OZ Time) ? Hangin' out with THe Mammals!! That's where!
Only 70 bucks OZ for a full day/evening pass, so as well as The Mammals we get to wander around and see lots of other performances, as well as all the other stuff that goes on at the Woodford Folk Festival.
Don't need my Ruby Slippers for that one, as I said, it's only 15 minutes drive from my place!
We gotta do a WFF Blunder one day! You had better all start saving for when adg gets there one year!

Wow Louise! Where did u find out about Sarah and Johnny coming to sydney? Might have to try and plan some time out in March! We went to Woodford last year, wern't planning to this year, but may have to check out which day Mammals are on. Arlo would certainly fit in well at Woodford. He's been to the Blues and Roots in Byron Bay. Shame it's becoming very "yuppyised" there now. Going to see John Butler Trio on Sunday- should be a good show.
