Folk Musician Jean Ritchie has had a stroke, and is in intensive care. She's responsive, can move limbs at request, and can answer yes-no questions. She could use some good vibes!

So sorry to hear about her. Prayers just said for her & vibes sent. She is a folksinger and mountain dulcimer player from the hillbilly area of KY that Mike was from. She was from a county or 2 over from where Mike was from. One Christmas I found a cassette tape of her doing Christmas music from KY so I bought it for Mike for Christmas that yr. We would play it at Christmas time riding in the car. I have no idea what happened to it since Mike passed. I think she was friends with Arlo's daddy Woody. I remember seeing her on a PBS program on the song Amazing Grace. She was doing what they do in Mikes part of KY where on Memorial Day they go visit the graves of those relatives who have passed on. They call it Decoration Day there instead of Memorial Day...
