Joni lost her Mom, Myrtle Anderson, aged 95, on the 19th March.
Joan lost her Dad, Albert V. Baez, aged 94, on the 20th March.

So sorry to hear about their passing. Joni & Joan are among some of the most well known female folk singers out there. May God be with them and their families at this time. Peace...

Not a folk artist; not even a musician. But I suspect that the passing of Kurt Vonnegut tonight has some meaning for more than a few of us. Peace to you who seldom, if ever, had it here.

It's too bad the news coverage, was of Don Imus getting rail-roaded for talking the talk, instead of a bio of your life & times. You changed allot of people, and allot of minds. You sir will be missed & in the same breath, live on forever in your writing...

Hawaiian crooner Don Ho who is famous for his tune "Tiny Bubbles" died of heart failure at the age of 76. RIP...

i love Tiny Bubbles, I remember the Don Ho show from the 60's, he sat out on the beach and sang silly songs and seemed to be having a better time than he probably should have,

I was too young back in the sixties to remember Don. I first heard of him in the late seventies and I remember a Ponds Hand Lotion commercial he was in around the same time. All I remember about the commercial was Don kissing a lady's hand after she applied hand lotion on her hands .....His daughter Hoku is a pop singer she has a song called "Perfect Day" it was used in a commercial (I forget which one) and in the first Legally Blonde movie.

I remember him. I rremember he had a show on tv in the 70's. Funny thing was I went to Hawaii once in the 70's but never did see him. I did see Peter Marshall of the Hollywood Squares there tho. Rip...

can anyone remember when he played a part in the 2 episode of the Brady Bunch when thet went to Hawaii. Vincent Price also played in it.

Porter Waggoner the country singer has died. So sorry to hear about him. RIP. I think I saw him in a Grand Old Opry show in Gatlinburg in the 60's...

A founder of the group The Cyrkle, who later went on to become a stellar writer of jingles (plop plop fizz fizz anybody?), Tom Dawes has passed away.
They were an opening act for the Beatles on their last tour of the states. I still walk around some days humming this song...

Sad to hear Arnie. I had the 45 of Red Rubber Ball. I inherited most of my sisters vynal, when they offed for college. and at first listen, most of my friends thought it just another pop song. I let a friend borrow it one time, never to be seen again. Seemed everyone loved that song, as it became popular at partys,with many a request to play that song...

I liked it from the get. Took my friend awhile to catch on, but even he agreed it was a kewl tune...... And he was a harsh critic....
