Thanks, Arnie--we can always count on the Back Half to 'splain us. We're not 'normal' and don't want to be.

"Normal" is kind of a relative term...if a whole family consists of people who run around in public in clown makeup wearing "I Love Dubya" buttons, that's "normal" for them and wierd to the rest of the world. I like the term "Not mainstream!"

I have to agree with Arnie. People here seem to find the links.

It was in writing some where last week that one of Arlo's daughters said, "Nuts is a good thing in Guthrie Language."

Is this a better place because you have to follow a link to see a pic that is a part of a story?

In case I confused someone - I think this is an enjoyable site.

Is this a better place?? It's not any worse!

Confuse someone daily! It's the blunder method.

Now, unless someone else has something to say about Country Joe, I think this puppy is one gone dog...

goin' once.

He was part of the closing ceremonies one night at Pete's Clearwater on Hudson... and there were SO many kids in the audience... and he did the Fish Cheer... I wasn't thrilled. Other than that, he's ok.

I suppose there were a lot of people who weren't to thrilled about the fish cheer back in 69! I guess that was kinda the point but I suppose you got to play to your crowd. Still, I sometimes put on those old Country Joe records and remember those psyche delic days and think of porpoise mouths (what does that mean) and flying high in the back of cars with harmonicas and wonder Who Am I (where are my finger cymbals) and just generally feel like fixin to die?

"looks like nothin but another LBJ"

they were a good psyche delic band now, those fishes,

I dunno...all these songs from my youth still seem pertinent. What are we fighting for?

Try doing an internet search on fish cheer. If I remember right, that was how it started, then it evolved. There is a clip of Joe explaining.

Uh-oh, guess I should clarify... I love the song, just not the "spelling" part because there were little kids in the audience.
