Fosse was in Washington D.C. on September 23, 1987, for a revival of his musical Sweet Charity, which was opening at the National Theater. He collapsed in his room at the Willard Hotel at about 7 p.m. as the show was beginning nearby. He was taken to George Washington University where he died of a heart attack at the age of 60.

I really miss Jason Robards, he was an excellant actor. Always loved the way he portrayed the nicely old neighborly guy in "The Crawlspace" and of course, Stanely Kubrick is one of my fav directors. It's kewl to know he's orbiting earth along with his comrads.

Funny story. My young brother in law, grew up in my house back in the late 80's and 90's. ( the guy who accompanied me on the 03 HD walk. Brian Scott Terrance ) and he really got Arlo'd out spending so much time with me, and riding in my car.

In the early 90's I rented my father in law an apartment. as he was stuggling with lung cancer. I had a cherry stereo, and had my 25 (silver) Anniversary tapes of Arlo's major catalog, along with listening to folky music stations. Me and me Dad in law, loved old school country. And when he's get gassed, and I'd be catching up on some sleep, Brian would ask me, do you wanna hear a new Arlo record? I picked on up today in the mall... And he's throw on Metallica, and I'd say, I might be 1/2 asleep Brian but that aint Guthrie, and Brain woud just smile, suggesting, Arlo has a new sound.... I got to learn to really like Metallica, after Brian turned me onto to them. It took allot of practice tho.... It's Brians favorite band to this day...

Without cheating and looking them up - Leon Uris, author; didn't he write Exodus? Ernie Pyle - WWII reporter who lived with the troops and wrote about their experiences. I still have one of my Dad's Ernie Pyle books. I probably have one of his Leon Uris books, too. I hoard books. (Not a news flash to Jay.)
