I don't know that things changed for the better. :?

I had ordered sometime around Dec 3 and got a DVD back by Dec 12. If folks are getting "not available" emails after Dec 12, that would be a shame. I hope they make some more.

Maybe the film has received such a favorable response that 7tharts decided to delay shipment of the DVD version so the DVD wouldn't compete wiht the film.

Hope the film receives lots of play and also that the DVD will be availalbe soon..........

You may be on to something, Arnie. I was a little surprized that there was a bunch of test pattern/color grids and no copyright warning before the film starts.

If you saw it on EBay, it very well might be a bootleg copy. I'm gonna wait for the official release.

Good news! Received the following email from 7th arts.com today:

A limited number of personal use VHS copies of ISN'T THIS A TIME are now available. The film has not yet been scheduled for home video release, and due to the small number of copies produced the cost is $40 (including shipping). If you are interested in purchasing a copy please e-mail me for details. Thanks much.

Best,

Matt Henderson

If all they have left is VHS tapes and you have a way to view it, better go for it.

It's a really good film. There are no "menu/special extras" on the DVD. They dropped the price 20%.

The film came out in 2004. How long did it take for this chance to happen?

Cyndi, Matt Anderson is listed as the Marketing and Distribution VP on the corporate profile web page: http://7thart.com/seventh.htm

I also expressed preference for the DVD but didn't receive a response. I think Kurt is right, probably best to go ahead and order the VHS version (drag the old VHS player out of the closet}.

Ha! Good point, Kurt. By the way, I'm impressed with the eclectic 7th arts film collection and bookmarked the site. Lots of fascinating subjects that us "slightly off center" Arlo fans appreciate. Great resource!

Cyndy, Oops.... That period after the htm caused the link not to work. Anyway, after you enter the 7thart.com site, click on the "corporate profile" button that list the names and positions in the company.

I ordered it also... Can't wait. Since we're just down the road from Los Angelees, hopefully it will be just a couple of days.
