Thank you. I never heard of this website... had no idea they were making this available (so soon)... especially since it has footage of Arlo and Pete at "that" Wolftrap show... and they haven't released that one yet

On the PBS site, on the 5 minute preview, at about 42 seconds in, there's Pete singing with a bunch of kids...there's one boy left of center with curly dark hair and glasses that looks suspiciously familiar...I noticed last night, but hadn't checked the tape yet...and it was on the website.

It comes on here on Sunday at 2 pm. I may end up missing some of it cuz we have a dinner at church. And our dvr is goofed up of all things. Yikes...

I saw the Pete movie in Norfolk at the wonderful Naro theater with Bob Zentz and assorted folkies singing a collection of Pete songs live afterwards. Tonight I'm watching it on TV again--last week on the Norfolk PBS station and tonight on the NC one.

And again, I wonder, is Toshi Seeger a knitter? Pete wears such a great collection of knitted hats and sweaters in the clips all through the years.

Seeing McGuinn sing to Pete at the Kennedy Center chokes me up every time.

Yep, Toshi is a knitter! I've seen her at festivals carring a bag with knitting in progress!

Toshi makes a lot of Pete's shirts too.

Bob Zentz , I've picked him up on the radio before doing a folk music show & have seen him on tv playing autoharp I think. Haven't picked him up on the radio in along time tho...

We've had Bob Zentz as a hired performer for our monthy concert series at Folk club. I think it was three or four years ago; I picked up a couple of his CD's there. He was great!

He sounds good. I'll have to check him out sometime...

Last night I watched a doco made last year by Channel Four in Britian. It was called Making the Monkees. About all the stuff they went thru with the show and wanting to do their own music etc.
They spoke with them, (exept Mike Nesmith) about what they are doing now. Mickey has gone back to acting, Davey travels around singing Monkee songs. Mike is a muti media millionaire. I was most impressed with Peter Tork. He looked like hell but said that though he is an alchoholic, he hadn't had a drink or drugs for 25 years.
He lives in Conn and has a group called Shoe Suede Blues. At the end of the doco he played the banjo and was singing Cripple Creek. He sounded very Pete Seegerish! I was wondering if any of you had seen his band perform?

We saw Peter Tork about 7 or 8 years ago at a very small venue in Altadena, California. He wasn't playing with the band that night but it was in existence at the time. I cannot remember the name of the other person playing with him that night but I do remember we enjoyed the show.

Since the powers 2b haven't listened to Pete yet, who would they listen too.
In a PBS show about him, he called to bring all the boys home from all over.

I bet it was James Lee Stanley the folksinger. He has done some shows with Peter Tork over the yrs. We've seen him with Peter Tork a coupla times. They put on a great show, He doesn't know Arlo altho he likes him but Peter Tork is friends with Arlo & saw some of him filming the Alices movie. Arlo once sang with Davy Jones in Fla. On the back of the Running Down The Road album, the motorcycle he is on is Mike Nesmiths. We've seen Peter Tork solo a few times and a coupla times with Shoe Suede Blues. There was an ep of the Monkees where it showed them on tour & Tork played Cripple Creek in it. I think he likes Pete Seeger too. I'm a big Monkees fan so I would've loved to have seen that documentary on them...
