I was so sorry to hear about him. I watched Gilligan in the 60's & r4e-runs throughout the yrs & also enjoyed re-runs of Dobiue Gillis. Gilligan lived Princeton, WV & had a great oldies station there Little Buddy Radio. Whenever we'd go thru Princeton, WV on the way to KY, we tune his oldies station in. We have a dvd of the first 2 eps of Gillian & we watched one of them this am in tribute to him. Rip...

Bob Denver was a close friend of Hoyt Axton, and I met him and hung out with him back years ago... Very decent guy. Glad to see everyone remembers him fondly. We had some fun back years ago ... Geez what a month this is turning out to be.

Man......there's a picture! I can see Bob with his bongos on the front porch with Arlo and Hoyt with guitars some how......

Me too Judy.............I was only kid, in Oregon, when I watched Dobie, but I always identified with Maynard way more than with the Preppie types. (must be why I like hangin' out here with a bunch of old Beatniks and Hippies)

We are now in Princeton, WV (Home of the late Bob Denver) on our way to the reunion in KY. Mike said he bet his number was in the phone book. I said probably not since he was such a big star. So I looked it up & it was in the book. Wow...

Rosa Parks, the woman who refused to give up her seat on the bus, passed away today, Oct 24. She was 92.
