I saw the Klezmatics today in Chicago at the Old Town School. Right classy show it was! Almost all Woody songs. They encored with Holy Ground (the best song on this collection). I was surprised that we didn't get a This Land is Your Land at the end, though.

Congrats to the Klezmatics (and of course a tip o' the hat to WWG), they won the grammy!

Good decision by lifetime Grammy winner Joan Baez to quote Woody Guthrie's lines from "This Land is Your Land" in her introduction to the Dixie Chicks. It certainly fit the occasion. It was also good to 1) see Joan Baez get a well-deserved lifetime Grammy, and 2) the Dixie Chicks to come out on top in an award ceremony like this.

Ditto what Cheryl said Wouldn't it be awesome if Arlo won a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award sometime or somewhere down the road? Since Woody, Joan, and Bob all received one, it Arlo's turn now, he greatly well deserves it after the hard work in a 40 year time span
