I just wanted to remind everyone that Pete Seeger's Clearwater festival is this weekend JUNE 21st & 22nd. So all the folks who normally would love to go, but can't because its usually on Father's day weekend, have their chance to attend this year!

It's always a wonderful weekend...on the banks of the Hudson River. You can take rides on the Clearwater, and although Pete generally only schedules himself for a few things...he always POPS up on stages all over - all weekend. There are always suprise guests. (The Boss once showed up at 11 a.m., at a Clearwater festival and did 7 unscheduled songs! - years before the tribute CD) Ya never know!!

There's a whole grove with tons of things for the kids to do, A huge dance tent that rocks all day both days, lots of really good food, an Activists, craft, and clothing areas or just sit along the Hudson and listen to all the terrific music.

We saw Pete and Toshi (and Tao) yesterday and they all look fabulous, healthy and energized as ever!!!

Hope we see you there!

Clearwater Revival is a lovely, clean, relaxed festival. The organizers have been working toward including young people, folks up from the city, and continuing a zero-waste effort. When you drift around looking at the crafts and activists area, hear the music on the various stages or just taking cover under the shade of an old willow, you feel revived (hence Revival) and renewed. Of course you will glimpse Pete, and enjoy his inspiration, but you will get inspired by so many things that make it so special. And the water! you can go out onto the Hudson on a kayak or rowboat, or sail on the Clearwater, or even go swimming. It's such a memorable event. Do see the www.clearwater.org web page for last minute details and directions.

My heart goes out to Pete and all the volunteers...After a beautiful day yesterday - with Pete at 89 being the only headliner, to a very scarce crowd, Sundays revival was called off just before 2pm because of lightning and storms.

He never looked or sounded better, with Tao and Toshi by his side.

BUT - Where are all the artists who Pete inspired to become who they are today? The hundreds of musicians who Ive read in countless books that have credited him for their whole career?

Why weren't they there to support him now?

Hey I Love Pete,
This link is in the same spirit of Pete's Life. Its videos on an OEN Article, with For What Its Worth, Which Way are You Going, Lives in the Balance, and Bring ALL The Boys Home.

It needs to get 10 positive votes to get Published on Our Future For America's main page. I hope, while we are sailing down this river, that you sign up for OFFA, for they are one of the best progressive sites I have yet to find on this cool webnet communication tool.

-you don't even have to be able to sing, write songs, or be able to carry a tune to spread important stuff to a public starving for good news.
