I was very sorry to hear the news this morning that we've lost one of the great voices of humanity.

I was very lucky to see her in October at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. She was frail but still managed to belt out a few Huddie tunes.

I will always remember the way she came out with This land is Your Land right after the Judy Collins narration in the 67 Woody Tribute album. Hope Arlo will think about doing a song in remembrance of her when he gets out here to the SFJCC this spring.

Mark

Sad to see her go. You were able to see her last show, HSB. My daughter also saw her there. You both are very fortunate.

Pacifica? Small world. I'm a former Pacifican, also HMB'er.
