Hardly a legend of folk music, but certainly a legend. Another death at the hands of modern-day pharmaceutical companies and the enablers who call themselves doctors.

RIP. He sure died way too young. So many are passing on to heart attacks. Also RIP Farrah Fawcett...

Mikey - Remember, it's not the music but what's in the heart of the person singing - or who's singing with - that makes it a folk song.

Anyone who inspires a love of music in the hearts of so many is deserving of our respect. Looking beyond the tragic was a gifted soul whom we can only hope is now at peace.

He's folks and a musician And a legend. So I figured it would be o.k.

It's fine with me; he was a fabulous entertainer no matter what genre.

Musician, legend and tortured soul. Agreed.

And a very nice deal for a 50 year old entertainer : do a huge tour, raise enough cash to cover his debts and at the same time, his kids would see it.

He was indeed a Amazing performer, singer/songwriter and dancer. It is such a shame he couldn't be happy with who he was.

Michael was so generously gifted, enormously creative in music/dance.
He never knew/accepted himself, got past what family/other expected of him ...never knew the beauty of being one.
I pray he finally knows the love, and the peace.
