My buddy passed away a couple weeks ago, leaving his wife,who has Lou Gehrig's, in a tight spot (to put it mildly). Cindy's Page I'll tell ya, I'm looking for people that care what happens to other people. If you read her story over there and want to write to your Senators and Congressmen regarding the treatment of disabled human beings in this country, I sure wouldn't mind at all. So sorry to hear about her. That Lou Gehrigs disease is really bad. There was an actor on ONE LIFE TO LIVE that had it name Michael Zaslow. He left the show a number of yrs ago & later went to another soap. The other soap fired him from the show when he got Lou Gehrigs. ONE LIFE TO LIVE had him come back on there as his old charchter with the character now having Lour Gehrigs. From what I read he was a very big supporter in trying to help find support for the disease & a cure etc. Sadly he died some time back. What what I read he caiired on very barvely to the end on OLTL.

It occurred to me, as I read "Cindy's page" that some of us might be able to add something to Cind's ebay auction. I definately don't have money to give right now, but I do have some things that could bring in money for her that I will be glad to donate.
It's something that any of us might think about.

I'm into helping. I'll be glad to do something active in the letter writing department!

I've got another site that some of you may wish to look into and I'll try to get this UBB thing to work... ALS website Petition I hate to stay up on a soapbox with this thing and know some would think it inappropriate to recruit support in this manner but I'm doing it anyway. Would like to thank Dave for not shutting me up on this matter. Healthcare issues affect many of us and we should have an easier system for disabled folks to be able to figure out and get timely responses to their concerns and needs. Write letters or emails, sign petitions, let the representatives know we would like some help out here. Let them know that many of us willingly pay tax not only for our own welfare but for the others out there that ain't so fortunate.
