Well, a few minutes ago the postman came knocking at my door. In his arms was this big package from the east coast....In the box contained a few cds from Kitty West...and a notebook on the events leading up to her performance in Carnegie Hall....I must say I am listening to one of the cds at this moment....and looking at the notebook....and both are just blowing me away....the collective heart that folks on three different boards gave to her...and the heart that lies in the soul of her music and her singing....are bringing tears to my ornery eyes....If you do not have any of her cds....I suggest you get them....you will not be displeased....

Kitty, if you ever make it to the west coast....let me know and I will do my damnedest to show up....Keep on singing, writing, playing.

She sure is a special thing. I've been sayin' that all along, ever since I first "met" her on this board a while back. Wish somebody would pick her up on a major label, or even a minor one. More people need to hear her songs somehow.

Kitty's "Horizon" tribute to the crew of the Kursk, is a classic. Very appliable now too, poinant & moving....
