Ya'll might remember me writing on here that I had went to a folk music festival in Manteo, NC near Nags Head, NC in April to go see Arlo. I met at the show a dulcimer player who lived over in the next county & liked Arlo too. He gave me his e-mail address & I had lost it & was looking for him on here. My folks have a condo in Nags Head & go there a few times a yr & when they aren't staying in it it gets rented to tourists. We went in Apr to see Arlo. We have gone to Nags Head for our annual weeks trip to stay with my folks in their condo & wound up staying longer almost 2 weeks cuz my folks friends who were supposed to come down for a week, the old man had to have heart surgery. He'll be okay, thank God.

Well we had found out that Larry Sparks the bluegrass guy was doing a gig here at Manteo where Arlo had appeared & it was free. So we went. You'll never guess who ran into there! The dulcimer player we had met there in Apr at Arlos show! So we were able to get his e-mail address from him again! We had him write it on a xerox of sheet music in a dulcimer notbook I have where I have typed in it song titles to pick from to play & dulcimer tuning etc so I know what I am doing. & We also had him write it on a card Mike had in his wallet! Talk about Divine Dulcimer providence! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15> It was nice to see him again.

The show was great by the way. I didn't have aneything to write a set list with tho. He di some gospel songs 7 a humrouse one about girls from Richmond, VA.

We got to meet all the guys in the band & Larry Sparks too! We go to go backstage & meet him at his van. He was really nice. We asked if he knew Arlo & Bill Harrell the bluegrass singer as Bill Harrell is Mikes cousin. He knew them both & said he hadn't seen Arlo in along time & asked how he was doing so we filled him in how Arlo was doing & told him all about the gig of Arlos at Manteo he did in April. We got to walk on the stage where Arlo had performed on! The opening act was good too. I'd guesstimate the crowd was less than 100 people. I was sorry to see so low a turn out.

Anyway it was a nice day & nice music!
