Speaking of other artists - I'm a big fan of Tom Pacheco from Woodstock. His three solo acoustic cd's are fabulous, as is "Woodstock Winter" with the guys from The Band. Anybody else listen to him?

He did a show at the Church about a month or so ago... WOW... he blew me away! Great stuff!

I've seen him 3-4 times so far and am going to see him again Saturday night. I think he is one of the best song writers out there. As a long time Dylan fan I really think Pacheco's albums are the sort people wish Dylan would make these days.

I have his "Woodstock Winter", which is great stuff. I saw him perform only once at the Clearwater fest in 2003, and enjoyed his stuff alot.

Woodstock Winter was the first cd I heard by Tom. Since then I picked up most of his solo works. "There Was A Time" is one of the finest songs he's written - it harkens back to an idyllic time that, in reality, is still waiting to come about.

His "bare bones" cds are my favorites - just him playing acoustically or him with Jim Weider of the Band playing acoustically.

Oh yeah . . . . he was fabulous when I saw him this past month. He did a request for me and one for my wife.

One of the things I really appreciate about folk music is that many of the people I've met are so down to earth - Arlo, Tom Paxton, Tom Pacheco, Bill Staines, they're just plain "folks" - maybe that's how the music got it's name!
