An important part of hearing Arlo do the song was the introduction about Guabi and his Firestone 500 sandals.

Go to the arlonet homepage and click "lyrics". There is some explanation to be found there. What's written there does however shoot to hell my long standing theory that "Guabi Guabi" was just some guy trying to say "Guava Gauva" at a fruitstand with a mouth full of peanut butter. But what do I know?
