Well, it is about 50 years belated, but the Weavers are finally getting some recognition for what they did for music at this year's Grammy's. It certainly took the Grammy folks long enough to do this. I wish Harold Leventhal & Lee Hays were around to see this. I wonder what they would think, or for that matter, what the surviving Weavers think about this much belated honor. It certainly would have had much more meaning 50 years ago while they were being blacklisted. I'm betting that this part of the ceremony won't even make it on the broadcast. On one hand, I'm pleased that they are finally getting this recognition, on the other hand, I'm not pleased that it is five decades overdue.

It's about time. Wish Harold could've been here to see it. Congrats to the Weavers...

I was just thinking that for a group whose heyday was fifty years ago, all but Lee Hays are alive and kicking and still working. I don't think there are too many veteran groups that can say that. Must have been the music they sung ....
