Hello all. We just finished watching Alice's Restaurant and realized that neither my wife nor I knew anything about the mother(s) of his children. Can anyone fill me in quick. Just brief stuff, of course.

He wasn't married to his girlfriend that was in Alices. Tht was some actress playing some other girlfriend of Arlos. He married Jackie Hyde in Nov of 69. They met when he did a gig at the Troubador Club in LA & she was a waitress there & he the main act. She was from California I think. Judy Collins sang at the wedding. Jackies late father was Jack Hyde who appeared in some old tv shows like Gunsmoke I think. They had several kids, she & Arlo-- Abe, Cathy Annie & Sarah Lee. Abe married Lisa & has Krishna & Serena. Annie has Mo & forget her other childs name. Brain dead I tell ya lol. Sarah Lee married folk rock singer Johnny Irion & they had Olivia. Yep Arlo & Jackie are grandparents. Jackie was on the front covers of Arlos albums "Hobo's Lullabye" & "Last Of The Brooklyn Cowboys". Don't know a whole lot of background about her other than that but she is a very nice lady. She & Arlo make a great couple. Maybe some others will have more info to share. Hope I helped some...

Cheryl left out the fact that Jackie's main hobby is arranging forks in unique and colorful patterns all over the floors of the Guthrie house. I'll leave it to others to elaborate on this "forkigami".
