Hi has anybody heard the version of percy's song sung by arlo? I caught in on public radio here in ny but I don't know what album it's on or where i can obtain a copy. I have the bob dylan version. it's a great song. If anyone can clue me in i'd appreciate it thanks!

Yes, Arlo's version of Percy's song is on an old (1970) album/CD called Washington County. You can order it from RisingSonRecords (his own label):

Arlo sang it for me last May at The Church He claims he forgot the words (he probably did), but I didn't care... I was just happy to hear him sing it.

BTW, Washington County is a fabulous collection of songs.

Arlo says that he released his recording of it before Dylan got around to it. It was years before, actually. Dylan recorded it in the sixties but didn't surface as a recording (officially) until Biograph.

Arlo was doing it quite a lot a few years ago.

I love Washington County and played Percy's song quite a bit on my radio show - when I was doing the public radio gig glad to hear it's still in rotation somewhere, support your local public radio - it's important!
