Hey BobbieB, Arlo's Genre is Roots as you know, but he's under 3 subgenres, FolkRock for Alice's, Traditional Folk for Precious Friend and All for both albums, and Pete is under Traditional Folk for Precious Friend. So that's 2 for adg, 1 for Pete, and Woody is not ther at ALL!!!!!!!!! Or any Guthrie Kids. How the FOLK! could this happen. (sorry Sparks)

But hey, a lot of other people who want stuff under all the other Genres are missing out big time too.

Come off the grass!! Stone the Crows and Fair Suck of the Sav!!!!OZ is in the 21st Century too! (isn't it?)

There's about 25 CDs of ours that will become available in the iTines Music Store one of these days. We're still not available in Canada, or Japan or in Oz. There's different contracts for each that Apple has not yet sent us for these countrys even though we've been asking for months! We're still yelling about it but things take time.

Well, at least we have the store now, guess we'll just have to wait 'til they add more adg stuff.

Or we could walk into the OZ Apple office and sing a bar of Alices........

Or more appropriately we could sing.

You can get most of the stuff you want
at Apple's OZ iTunes store
'cept most of Arlo's!

Hey Arlo!
I just recently came into the 21st century with the receipt of my very own iPod (iPod therefore iHaveKids)
Soooo I go wanderin' around the iTunes music store, and of course take a look at the offerings by my favorite folkslinger... and i notice the review on the Together album... and it ain't exactly a nice one (IMHO) I then go to the Precious Friend album, and there again, a less than stellar review...

So I was just curious - what is your take on the reviews they've posted on iTunes on these albums? I didn't look at every one of your albums, so I don't know which may also have reviews. Do you think they should have some form of Artist Rebuttal?
Do you think they do a disservice to folks 'shopping' to post 'official' reviews?
In my way of thinking, a factual synopsis of the album is all that should be 'officially' attached, and then let only the fans (or non-fans as the case may be) post their opinions.

And for the record, i will listen (or Buy and listen) and make up my own mind about what music I like or don't like... I'm just concerned that they do a disservice to the artists and the buying public by attaching 'reviews'...

but wow is my black iPod cool... now if i could see the tiny videos...

Arnie: If people stayed outta movie theaters, cause a movie got a bad review, the seats would be empty.... Sometimes a bad reveiw, can re-boot an artist's career..... or sell more records.

I said the word record. Does that mean I'm a dinasaur????

Neil Youngs 'Tonights the Night' and Zuma got real bad reveiws. So didn't Lou Reed's "Coney Island Baby'.. The latter may be one of his finest works to date. Many a Lou Reed fan would totally agree......

* when your all alone and loney in your midnight hour
And you find that your soul had been up for sale
And just remember people have peculiar taste
Oh the glory of love

Lou Reed.....

All I can say is, if you like the stuff, write your own review and give 'em hell. Hahahaha. Course if you don't like it either, let 'em know you agree... It's too late to change anything. :)

Not to beat a dead horse, but Precious Friends, seemded to be an alltime favorite, among fans........

Arnie: in all seriousness, I don't dought what your reading, ( and again, not to beat a dead horse ) but reviews aren't always cracked up to what they are supposed to be.... ( I speculate you allready know this, as I've always found you to be, street smart, and a down home person, that can call a spade a spade)

If I had to write a bad review outta all of the music, it would be the A. side of "Alices Restaurant" Only because it got so much attention, when the other side, was totally A+.... ( but that might be due to the fact, my girlfriend played it over and over and over, then when her parent's would get home, they would suggest, 'Play Alices' Side A..... AARRGGG....

So maybe i got burned out on it... I loved seeing the premier in the theaters... ( yrs. after is release. What happens on the west coast, happens on the east coast, 7ral yrs. later....

I did, TOTALLY ENJOY, hearing the thing live, in Oct 05..... It was just a sorta, dah de dah de dah, untill the antics came into play, and I laughed so hard my sides hurt the next day..... To be frank, I was surprized that new life could be thrust into Alice's...... But a spade is a spade. I loved it... Of course it's always a contagious, almost combustable atmosphere, when the Folksinger is doing his thing, and you are surrounded by friends, who share common links. From all walks of life...

There I rambled enough....

Robs 2 cents...... You do have a legitimate peeve tho Arnie.....

Again just my opinions. that's all

Is the CD tentatively called "Tales of the Sixties" still going to be put together?

I suspect it's gonna be like 32 Cents, lol. The album that never was lol. I saw something in the mall yesterday that you folks would've liked. A calendar counting down the days till Dubya is out of office lol. I bet ya'll all end up getting one for Christmas. The "Tales of the Sixties" album oughta be a good one whenever it gets released... : )

Yeah... Reviews, are... well, written by reviewers, and not every one is always happy or in the mood. YOU can write your pwn reviews on iTunes, and I've asked that our folks go do that as often as they can. There are no reviews at all on some records, and reviews for the wrong record on others. So PLEASE go ahead and write your own (everyone reading this should), and add them to the ones already there! It helps a lot!!!

The records available in other places (like Yahoo) can use some positive reviews also. So, if anyone here has a chance please help us out and review the entire catalog!

And especially important: I have written some notes on some of these, if you find it helpful, please check the place where it asks if the review was helpful to you.
