I'm at a loss for words, but feel a need to communicate with you all here about these songs.

Oh my goodness, What songs!
I've been listening to the "In Times Like These" cd and find myself in tears at the sad reality of the times, and the trueness of the refrains.
But so comforted that Arlo knows, and you here must know, and none of us are alone.
"When leaders profit from deep divisions, When the tears of friends remain unsung" ...

Without going into a political rant here, Arlo so eloquently and gently and peacefully put some very strong stuff in here.

Thank you so much, Arlo! I've always admired your songwriting and storytelling, but these songs ... oh man... oh, man!

I want everyone to listen to these songs!!!

Leave it to Arlo to remember Katrina. He has the talent for saying it like it is. As always, it's the songwriters who document our times. I wish more of our youth were in touch with the songs that bring social issues to the forefront. What a wonderful legacy to leave to the world - songs of the times.

When I wrote that post earlier, I wasn't aware that Patriot's Dream was not new... it is so timely!
