I just got home from Arlo's performance at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL. The last song he sang on his individual set was "My Peace"..IT is an awesome song and I would LOVE to use it daily in my 3rd grade classroom. Tried to buy it at the concert but there were no Arlo type items for sale. Came home and looked on iTunes to no avail. Does anyone have any idea how I could get a copy of it or the lyrics to it?? I just kept thinking "What a great song to start and end the day EVERY day with my kids." Powerful message with simple lyrics. Short, sweet and to the point..If my kids could leave this school year with that message implanted in their thoughts, I will consider my year a success. Perfect song for the kids to learn. I'm in my 29th year of teaching and have always used folk music to convey messages. This one just won't stop playing in my head..

I enjoyed his whole show..Made me laugh out loud several times with his "corniness" AND it felt really good to laugh out loud after being under the constraints of the public school system ALL day long.. Love my job, LOVE my kids, but can't stand the rules of the establishment called public school education in this great state.
Again, his show was a pleasure. I was surprised that the hall was only about 2/3's full. Ruth Eckerd seats about 2000 people. Large retirement area down here so maybe Arlo is a little bit too liberal for our resident population..Who knows??? More importantly, who cares?? I had a great time, so it was worth the effort.
Judy Collins also performed that night, but she is a little too serious for me...Great voice, but not many laughs...
