Symptoms sounds like you picked up the 'Narc' bug that seemed to have surfaced following Arlo thanking those boys for their help and assistance in promoting and supporting his young gigs. Off course that was when he was regarded as someone 'special' to be watched and heard by Sam resulting in the a/m symptoms. Any retired 'Narcs' out there that have repented and have become 'born-again' Arlo fans that can throw some light on this matter?
