[i] Dear All~ this too is my first time here on Arlo's site. It is a thrill and honor. I have 'only' been blessed once in briefly meeting Arlo Guthrie. It remains vivid. This was in Crested Butte, Colorado my former home years ago...and it was the best musical/ story/ humor time in life thus far. I have met quite a few famous folk over the years usually via right place right time[i] luck [/i](Robin Williams, Steve Tyler~Aerosmith, Bratt Pitt, Halle Berry.....) and it was all calm and good. Yet, with Arlo- after the show when he ventured to greet us taggers -it was a beautiful and humble moment. I was shaky, babbling, 'out-there' you name it. This was the one that got me. He was precious, kind and signed an AIDS stamp (remember them ??) that my first AIDS 'client' (SHANTI Hospice in Phoenix) parents had sent to me on a card just after he moved on to the [i]free J.C. commune in the sky[/i]. Arlo's signature and literal work he, his family and the rest of us do completes that needed balance. Okay, enough but that in my AIDS work, the men and women allowed me to be their "worker" in their remaining days which gave me the greatest gift -other than my son- I could ever know. And it ain't over yet.
