Thanks Kevin, but I've done very little except to enjoy the company of the people who choose to be Arlo's fans and friends and family to each other. I'm very grateful.

If something is important, it is for people like yourself or Cheryl who didn't get the pleasure this year of that experience to see what a very human experience it is. From the attic where Anne Frank wrote a diary to the little church in Great Barrington, human events and art expressed catch a lee wind from history and make a great arc across a culture. It may be hopeful to know that Alice's Restaurant is a very small room, a little bigger than a master bedroom in an average house, that the church is actually quite small on the inside so maybe a hundred people can sit, that Norman Rockwell's studio is a small cottage on a hill overlooking a beautiful Berkshire valley. It helps to know these small places are real places where real people come and enjoy themselves and each other.

Every community has such places and almost all have people who gather to be family by choice. Some become examples, elite cultivar that fuse with the wild seeds brought by a fair lee wind to rest among them, take away a few ideas, a few riffs, a few genes, take them back to their own small places. Some are terrible examples such as the evangelicals who spread the ideas of worship as a means to power and wealth where now ministers accuse children of being witches and cheer as their parents pour acid down small throats over faces twisted in terror that those who love them can do such horrible things to them in the name of love.

There is a light in the belltower of the Church in Great Barrington that shines through a symbol of peace and love. From the door below it, voices are raised in old songs. As the gray haired fellow says, those voices are carried on the wind to the lonely hard places. The videos are those voices echoing and that light shining as far as humble hearts can carry them with a fair wind.

I've been enjoying these, too, Len (she says, belatedly).

Beautiful job, Len! Any time I hear that song, no matter where I am, who I'm with, or what kind of day I've had, it makes me feel wonderful and I can't help smiling, because it reminds me of the people who are "Home" to me.

While the page is a Google page, those videos are on Facebook where a goodly number of the Blunderites share links. Facebook servers are sometimes unreliable given the beating they're taking these days. The Google YouTube servers are more robust. Let me know if the YouTube works better and I'll copy the others over to that site.
