How did you first get "into" Arlo's music?

That reminds me of John Lennons comments when he was asked about the meaning of the song 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds'. From what I remember, he said something like it was really not that much different than the meaning of a childrens song like 'On The Good Ship Lollipop'.
